Terms & Conditions

1. About the Service

WedAnswer is a Wedding Assistant service for Indian couples operated by an individual sole proprietor under the trade name WedAnswer ("we", "us", "our"), accessible at wedanswer.com.

The service allows couples to set up a personalised Wedding Assistant at wedanswer.com/w/[your-slug]. Guests can ask it questions about the wedding schedule, venues, contacts, and other details in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and other supported Indian languages.

By creating an account or using WedAnswer, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Activation and Pricing

  • One-time activation fee: ₹999 (inclusive of applicable taxes).
  • Launch price: ₹999 for weddings activated through October 31, 2026. ₹1,999 thereafter.
  • The fee is charged once when you activate your Wedding Assistant at Step 7 of the setup wizard.
  • There are no monthly subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no hidden fees.
  • No refunds after activation. Once you activate your Wedding Assistant and the Google Sheet is created, the fee is non-refundable. We recommend completing the setup wizard preview step to verify your details before payment.
  • Draft weddings are not billed. If you begin setup but do not complete payment, your draft is stored for 7 days and then automatically and permanently deleted. No charge is incurred.
  • Prices may change for new customers with reasonable notice. Your activation price is locked at the time you pay.

3. Discount Codes and Coupons

  • Valid discount codes may be applied at checkout (Step 7) before payment.
  • Each code is single-use per wedding — it cannot be reused after application.
  • Codes may have expiry dates or usage limits. WedAnswer is not obligated to honour expired codes.
  • Discounts reduce the amount charged; the post-discount amount is what is processed by Razorpay.

4. What You Get

  • A personalised Wedding Assistant hosted at wedanswer.com/w/[your-slug] for your guests.
  • A Google Sheet pre-linked to your Wedding Assistant for data entry by you or your coordinator.
  • Your Wedding Assistant becomes visible to guests a few days before your wedding and stays available for a period afterward — by default, 7 days before through 7 days after your wedding date. You can adjust both dates anytime from your Settings, up to a combined maximum of 30 days.
  • Excel upload as a fallback data entry method whenever Google Sheets is unavailable.
  • Admin dashboard to manage your Wedding Assistant's data, settings, and view activity.

5. Wedding Assistant URL (Slug)

  • Your Wedding Assistant URL slug (e.g. wedanswer.com/w/rahul-priya) is reserved at Step 4 of setup and becomes publicly accessible only after activation.
  • Slugs are permanent — they cannot be changed after activation.
  • Reserved words cannot be used as slugs: admin, api, login, health, w, static.
  • WedAnswer reserves the right to reclaim slugs used in violation of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use WedAnswer only for legitimate personal wedding communication. You must not:

  • Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent information into your Wedding Assistant.
  • Use your Wedding Assistant for commercial advertising, spam, or any purpose unrelated to your wedding.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the chat API.
  • Share your admin credentials or allow unauthorised persons to access your account.
  • Use the service for any purpose that is illegal under Indian law.

7. Accuracy of Information

Your Wedding Assistant's responses depend entirely on the information you or your coordinator enter into the Google Sheet or via Excel upload. WedAnswer is not liable for:

  • Incorrect or missing event details, venue changes, or time changes not reflected in your data.
  • Guest miscommunication arising from incomplete data entry.
  • AI-generated responses that may contain minor inaccuracies despite grounded prompting.

We recommend verifying critical information (venue addresses, event times) independently before and during your wedding.

8. Service Availability

WedAnswer aims for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated via email. During events critical to your wedding day, we recommend also having your coordinator's contact details available to guests as a fallback — this is already displayed by your Wedding Assistant when it cannot answer a question.

9. Google Sheets Dependency

Google Sheets is the primary data entry surface. If Google's services are unavailable, your Wedding Assistant continues to operate from your last-synced data in our database. The Excel upload path is always available as a fallback. WedAnswer is not responsible for data loss or sync failures caused by Google Sheets service outages.

10. Account and Data Deletion

  • By you: You may delete your account at any time from Admin → Settings → Danger Zone. Your Wedding Assistant goes offline and sign-in is disabled immediately; all account and wedding data is then permanently deleted 30 days later. This right cannot be exercised for payment records retained for statutory compliance.
  • By WedAnswer: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. No refund will be issued for terminated accounts. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless the violation is severe.

11. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all wedding data you enter into WedAnswer. You grant WedAnswer a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of operating the service.

The WedAnswer brand, name, logo, interface, and underlying software are the intellectual property of the operator and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

WedAnswer is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WedAnswer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to guest miscommunication, missed events, data loss, or reliance on AI-generated responses.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

13. Privacy

Your use of WedAnswer is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad.
